Appearance: Alexandrite is transparent to opaque.
It is famous for its color change phenomenon called the “alexandrite effect”. It can display in green, dark green, and shine red in transmitted light. It can appear incandescent. Alexandrite can also can be found in orange, yellow, pink, and blue to purple.
